The snow is dancing... in the same time, the Stanford bunny is being
distorted by a vortex flow. This example shows the combination
of a particle system (the snow) and an object represented by a
particle level set (the deforming bunny).
Real-Time Particle Systems, 2009
Flow volumes can be represented as the inside of a level set function.
This work demonstrates that the particle level set method
can be adapted to volumetric dye advection via streak volumes,
and to the visualization by time surfaces and path volumes.
The Stanford bunny is subject to a local deformation that resembles
clay modeling: by moving the sphere-shape emitter onto the bunny,
a portion of the volume escapes around the sphere. The particle
level set representation avoids the loss of material.
